Working on trying to prove the link from me to the Bagot in the Doomsday book, this post is working on the third generation.
The second generation connecting Kathleen Anna Johnson (Kay) to Agnes Kathleen Tomlinson (Kathy) is found here. This post connects Kathy to her father Thomas Richard Tomlinson (Richard).
I spent time every summer with my grandmother. It always included work. Whether I was helping to thin the carrots for the roadside farm, or working in the stores in Cedarvale (Meanskinisht) and Kitwanga, I always remember my grandmother working. However, I also remember sitting in the evenings listening to her stories about her father and grandfather. In later years, she would come visit me here in Victoria and while I was at work she would go to the Archives to research her ancestors.
I have several pictures of my grandmother with her father in posed photos for family occasions, but this one working on the farm is one of my favourites (provided to me by Susan Tomlinson Durbin).

Documents
The birth record for Agnes Kathleen Tomlinson (Kathy) includes the name of her father as Thomas Richard Tomlinson (Richard).1

The 1921 census shows her living with her parents and her brother Walter.2

Her marriage record also includes her father’s name.3

Her death registration indicates her father was Thomas, without his middle name Richard.4

Newspapers
Newspapers are good sources as they are often created at the time of events happening.
The marriage announcement in The War Cry refers to Kathy’s father as Richard.5

A newspaper article published in July of the year that Kathy passed includes his full name.6 As this article was written after her death, it is not as strong evidence as it would be if it had been published when one or both were alive. However, is still confirms the relationship.

DNA
I have matches to second cousins – the sons of my great-aunt Mary, my grandmother’s sister, that confirm the connection to her family.
Conclusion
We have many documents that confirm the generational link between Kathy and Richard. I am very comfortable that this link has been proved.
Now, on to the next generation – confirming Richard’s mother Alice.
