Well, we are here. Our home base for the next four weeks. Lots of trips from here planned, but we wanted a place to be able to relax in between.
I had my finger crossed as this place listed itself as “cozy”. In real estate sales we often equate cozy with tiny. However our apartment is a nice size. Plenty of room for the three of us and Paul says we could even practice some Foxtrot.
We caught up on all our laundry and walked around to get a layout of the area. We are staying in the Grünerløkka area and it is very walkable. Lots of families in the apartment complex. Even though the metro is just steps away it is very quiet here.
The Euro adapters we brought with us did not fit in most of the round sockets here in Norway (nor in Iceland for that matter). The ones we brought for our Apple prodiucts all work fine, but the straight adjustment ones are square shaped and, even though the plugs are correct, you can’t fit a square plug in a round plug-in. So we hopped on the metro – two stops away to a huge, and I mean HUGE mall. At the electronics store we were able to buy another adapter and Trey can plug in their games.
Tomorrow we have plans for a Medieval festival.
