When you are creating family trees for genealogy, sometimes you need to make decisions about who to include. In Charles’s case, we knew he was the adoptive, rather than the biological father of Agnes Parr. Do we include adoptive families or only biological ones.
I decided to do both. While the biological information is interesting and important in many ways, it is often the adopted family that our ancestor would have felt closest to. It is hopeful that the grandparents included her in all the family gatherings and uncles and aunts made no differentiations.
So Charles Parr is happily included in Agnes’s line. And, if I figure out who her bio-dad was, he will be included also.
